Thapa, Kharel leave for Beijing

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Prasad Kharel left for Beijing of China on Wednesday.

Upon an invitation of Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, the Thapa-led team left for the northern neighbour on an official visit.

The Deputy PM is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday.

During the visit, the two neighbours will discuss the issue of Free Trade Agreement, Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement; and Trade and Transit Treaty, a draft of which has already been sent to China from Nepal, according to sources.
