Theft case reported from assorted locations of Kathmandu
KATHAMNDU: Property worth around Rs 3.5 million were stolen from a computer store at Hitipokhari in Durbarmarg of KMC-1 on Tuesday.
According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the Compro Computer Pvt Ltd operated by Prabhananda Kumar Dev and made off with 12 laptops of various brands, two cameras, three iPhones, seven tolas gold jewelleries and Rs 800,000 cash.
Likewise, unknown perpetrators broke into the house belonging to Hari Bahadur Thapa at Suryadarshan Height, in Tokha Municipality-11 of Kathmandu district on Tuesday. They decamped with property worth Rs 192,000 including Rs 2,000 cash and gold jewelleries from the house.
Similarly, property worth around Rs 814,000 were stolen from a house in Painyutar of KMC-6 on Tuesday night.
Police reported that the unidentified gang broke into the house belonging to Dhruba Kumar Lamsal and made off with gold jewelleries, a TV set, a laptop and a diamond ring from the house.
Meanwhile, police are investigating into the theft cases and the search is on for the burglars, said police.
