KATHMANDU:  Police have caught a thief red-handed while stealing valuables worth more than Rs 100,000 from an unattended room in KMC-16 on Saturday.

Identified as Ashish Shrestha (24) of Bhanuchok in Sunsari district, he barged into the rented room of Bibek Chaulagain and Bikash Tamang in Ganga Hall area and stole a gold earring and two gold rings, informed the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju.

However, the locals caught the thief and handed over to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, after the failed attempt.
