'Thief' held red-handed from Kageshwori Manahara

KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested a youth red-handed while he was stealing an iPhone and some cash from a house in Kageshwori Manahara of Kathmandu on Friday.

Raju Magar (18), a permanent resident of Sarlahi district, currently residing in Kandaghari of the Capital, was arrested from the house of Rajendra Rayamajhi at Medical Chok of Kageshwori Manahara-12 yesterday.

While a team deployed from the Kandaghari-based Metropolitan Police Sector approached him, Magar had jumped off a window.

Meanwhile, Magar broke his left leg in the escape bid and was rushed to the Bir Hospital.

Police later seized the iPhone and Rs 350 from him.

While Magar is undergoing treatment, police have also launched an investigation.
