KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 223,000 was stolen from a rented room in Khusibu of KMC-17 on Saturday.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the room of Krishna Prasad Pokharel of Harmi-4, Gorkha breaking the padlock of the door and decamped with Rs 50,000 in cash, three tola gold ornaments and a camera.

The room was unattended when the incident occurred, police said.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
