Following the publishing of their plight in The Himalayan Times, the siblings were rescued by the Kathmandu-based Shanti Sewa Griha, founded by German national Marianne Grospietch.

Shanti Sewa Griha brought them to Kathmandu with the cooperation of Budhinanda Municipality and would be responsible for their shelter, food, and education, according to Bijendra Kunwar, program coordinator of the organisation.

Shanti Sewa Griha has been working in the social sector for the last 36 years across the world.
