KATHMANDU: A biker died and a pillion rider sustained critical injuries after a tipper (Ba 3 Kha 6297) hit a bike (Ba 59 Pa 7073) they were riding on, in Jadibuti, KMC-35 on Tuesday.

Critically injured biker Shyam Deshar (26) of Kandaghari and pillion rider Shanti Khadgi (30) of Banasthali were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Minbhawan for treatment but Deshar breathed his last during the course of treatment, police informed.

Police have impounded the tipper and arrested its driver for investigation.
