Four injured in separate road accidents in Valley

KATHMANDU: Traffic Police on Wednesday reported three road accidents in the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday.

A 40-year-old man, Mohan Lal Shrestha, of Koteshwor was injured when a truck (Na 5 Kha 7826) hit a motorcycle (Ba 64 Pa 2684), he was riding on, at Jadibuti of Koteshwor on Tuesday.

Shrestha is currently being treated at the Medicare Hospital, Chabahil.

The truck has been impounded and the driver has been arrested for further investigation.

Similarly, biker 34-year-old Roshan Shrestha and pillion rider 25-year-old Dipendra Rana Bhat were injured when their motorcycle (Ba 43 Pa 8020) lost control and met with an accident at Hanumante bridge on Tuesday.

The injured duo are being treated at the Kathmandu Model Hospital, Bagbazaar.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian, 39-year-old Suresh Adhikari was injured when he was hit by a motorcycle at Suryabinayak Municipality-6 of Bhaktapur on Tuesday.

Injured Adhikari has been referred to the Madhyapur Thimi Hospital from the Bhaktapur Hospital for further treatment.

Police said they are searching for the two-wheeler and the motorcyclist on the run.
