Training on rainwater harvesting
Kathmandu, August 28:
A two-day training on rainwater harvesting, organised by the NGO Forum in association with Nepal Water For Health, began today. The training aims to impart knowledge to plumbers on effective methods to collect rainwater for daily use. Twenty plumbers are taking part in the programme. Forum’s director Prak-ash Amatya said imparting knowledge on rainwater collection to plumbers is of importance as they are in direct contact with house owners during construction and could convince owners to adopt the method. Speakers said rainwater harvesting coul-d be an alternative to solve the City’s water problems.
