Travel entrepreneurs urge government to improve road conditions
KATHMANDU: Issuing a press statement on Monday, Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO) has urged the government to take immediate measures to complete road construction projects around tourist destinations of Nagarkot, Pokhara, Daman and Kakani among others.
Likewise, the travel entrepreneurs have also stressed on the need of curbing dust pollution in Kathmandu by formulating and implementing plans for improving the air quality.
"The condition of roads in Kathmandu is pathetic beyond description. And it is hard to walk along the roads in without being affected by dust," NATO said. "As we are making preparations for the grand tourism campaign -Visit Nepal 2020 such issues will tarnish the country’s destination image in the international arena."
