KATHMANDU: Police said they have impounded seven trucks used to ferry illegally mined sand from the bank of Manahara River in Kathmandu since July 16.

A truck laden with sand was taken into custody along with its driver from Chhapro, KMC-35 today also.

Police said the driver was sent to District Development Office, Babarmahal for further investigation.
