TU signs accords

Kathmandu, August 30:

With an aim to increase the capacity of Nepali rese-archers, the Tribhuvan University has signed agr-eements with universities of the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka and Germany to conduct Asia Link programme. Professor Nirmal Man Tuladhar, executive director of CNAS, said the EU has been funding the programme since 2004. “Three sociologists and a political science student will be selected for the programme to do doctorate degree in these countries,” said Tuladhar.

Various institutions such as the Institute for Global Society, Sociology of Development Research Centre, CNAS, Centre for Social Policy Analysis and Research, and the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology will work as partner institutions for the University of Bielefeld in Germany, Tribhuvan University, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and University of Oxford in the UK respectively.
