TU teachers’ fast-unto-death continues
KATHMANDU: The fast-unto-death by the part-time teachers at the nation’s oldest and largest institution of higher education — Tribhuvan University — entered its third-day today, with no immediate signs of resolving the crisis.
Govinda Luitel, a member of the Nepal Part-Time Teachers’ Association (NPTTA) of the Tribhuvan University (TU) today
said none showed up even today to address their demands.
NPTTA has been on hunger strike since Monday, demanding, among other things, job contract letters to the current cohort of part-time teachers and a new act that clearly defines the perks and facilities.
