TUTA convention starts

Kathmandu:

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala said on Wednesday the CA election is his sole goal at the moment.

“We should focus on the CA polls putting aside our differences. Holding the CA polls is the only thing that is on my mind at the moment,” he said. Inaugurating the third convention of the Tribhuwan University Teachers’ Association (TUTA), Koirala urged all TU teachers to facilitate the polls, saying that the polls will be conducted soon.

The PM also felicitated the family of Hari Raj Adhikari, an associate professor of the TU, who died during the Jana Andolan II. Following his death, the TUTA has set up Hari Raj Padak Kosh to commemorate his contribution and the highest scorer in M Phil in the management faculty will be awarded a gold medal every year.

On the occasion, PM Koirala also unveiled the office building of the TUTA at Balkhu. The meet will conclude on Thursday.
