Two held for ‘murder’

Kathmandu, April 1:

Two persons have held for murdering their companion.

A joint team of the Valley Crime Investigation Branch (VCIB) and the Kathmandu District Police Office, Hanumandhoka, today arrested Dhan Bahadur Pariyar and Raj Kumar KC from Kalopul, Kathmandu for allegedly murdering Hari Pariyar last Sunday.

According to police, all of them were celebrating Holi at Kalopul when a skirmish arose among them on the issue of black colour powder.

After a long quarrel, Dhan and Raj hammered Hari with bricks. Hari died on way to Bir Hospital the same day.

Police said that the deceased and the arrested all are scavengers.
