Two held on murder charge

Lalitpur, October 18:

Lalitpur District Police Office (LDPO) yesterday arrested two persons on charge of murdering Krishna Bahadur Thapa Magar, 54, security guard of Subha Tara Boarding School on the night of September 22. Those arrested are Gam Bahadur Gurung, 24, and Bhim Bahadur Gurung, 37, from Tanahu. The duo allegedly stabbed Magar and made away with cash from the accounts section of the school, LDPO said.

Meanwhile, a group of four unidentified persons looted cash Rs 5,000 and four tolas of golden jewellery from the house owned by one Netra Bahadur Ghale at Mahankal, Kathmandu, yesterday evening. The armed group forced Ghale and his wife to sniff drugs, police said. The couple fainted and the looters made away with the cash and valuables, the police said. The couple are undergoing treatment at Medicare Hospital, Chabahil. At Tripureshwor, cash worth Rs 100,000 and two camera were stolen from different flats of a house owned by Rameshworman Singh yesterday night, police said. According to the police, the thieves stole the cash from Pratyush International Pvt Ltd run by Arun Agrawal.
