Two Indian nationals held with narcotics

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Circle at Thankot arrested two Indian nationals in possession of a large cache of banned drugs.

Sabir Ali (19) and Karan Sahani (55) of Bihar, India were arrested along with the controlled pharmaceutical drugs on Thursday night from Thankot during a security check of their car with Indian registration (BR 1 H 6908).

Senior Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Office, Pooja Singh, said that the banned drugs were recovered from inside a bag kept in their car.

A large quantity of diazepam, phenergan, nurofen among other drugs were recovered. SSP Singh shared that further investigation has been initiated into the case.
