Two injured as motorcycle knocks pedestrian in Lainchaur

KATHMANDU: Two persons were injured after a motorcycle hit a pedestrian in Lainchaur area in Kathmandu on Wednesday night.

Police identified the injured as a motorcyclist Phurwa Sherpa (25), a local resident of Swayambu and the pedestrian Devendra Khanal (48) of Naya bazar, in Kathmandu district.

The incident occurred when the two-wheeler (Ba 58 Pa 1626) skidded after hitting khanal in front of Sasha Banquet in Lainchaur area, said police.

Khanal is undergoing treatment at New Road-based Bir Hospital whereas rider Sherpa was taken to the Dhapasi-based Grande Hospital for treatment.
