KATHMANDU: Two vacant posts of members in Nepal Tourism Board were filled on Monday with the appointment of Krishna Aryal and Purna Kunwar.

A tourism ministerial meeting took the decision to appoint the duo for a term of three years. Aryal is Managing Director of House of Travel and Adventure whereas Kunwar is operator of Multi Tours.

A sub-committee headed by Joint Secretary Dhanshyam Upadhaya had recommended the entrepreneurs for NTB membership. From the private entrepreneurs’ quota, the NTB board already has Dhanendra Shrestha, Rajendra Prasad Sapkota, and Frugal Gen Sherpa as members.

Speaking to the National News Agency (RSS), newly appointed NTB member, Aryal said he would work for adding pace to the NTB board’s activities.

“The aim of NTB since its establishment has been to promote tourism and its marketing aspects will be streamlined more effectively,” he said.
