KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday reported two cases of theft from assorted locations of Kathmandu Metropolitan City on Wednesday.

According to police, an unidentified group broke into the unattended house belonging to Laxman Giri at Kumari Marg in Tripureshwor of KMC-11 and made off with property worth around Rs 1,469,000, including diamond stud earrings, ring, gold ornaments and Rs 154,000 cash.

In a separate incident, property worth Rs 207,000 including gold ornaments and cash were stolen from a house belonging to Tritha Raj Pandey in Khadkagaun, of KMC-13 yesterday.

Meanwhile, the investigations into the cases are underway, said police.
