Two theft cases reported in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU:Police reported two cases of theft from assorted locations in the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday.

Last night, an unidentified gang broke the padlocks of a Saving and Co-operative run by Ram Krishna Khadgi at Jorpati in Gokarneshwor Municipality-5 and decamped with Rs 77,000 cash and a laptop. It was worth Rs 117,000 in total, police said.

Similarly, thieves had barged into a beauty parlour shop by breaking door glass at Thasikhel of Lalitpur district last night and made off with Rs 250,000 cash.

Police said the haul was worth Rs 367,000.

Meanwhile, police said they are searching the absconding thieves and looking into both the cases.
