Two thefts reported

KATHMANDU: Police said two incidents of theft were reported in Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Property worth Rs 667,000 including Rs 50,000 in cash, two mobile sets and various gold ornaments was stolen from a meat shop owned by Sarita Khadgi (32) in Dhalpa, Kirtipur-5 of Kathmandu today.

In another case, property worth Rs 168,000 including cash and gold and silver ornaments were stolen from a house in Sunakothi, LSMC-26 on Tuesday.

The valuables belonged to Sanumaya of Chhatiwan in Makawanpur district, Menaka Tamang of Kavre and Dilip Lamichhane of Kavre, who were living in a same house on rent, according to police.

While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into the case.
