KATHMANDU: Police said that two incidents of property crime were reported in the Capital on Friday.

Cash and valuables worth around Rs 625,000 were stolen from a rented room in Sohrakhutte, KMC-16 on Friday.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the unattended room of Bikash Shrestha and whisked away with Rs. 275,000 in cash and various gold ornaments.

Shrestha is a permanent resident of Aanppipa, Gorkha.

Similarly, property worth around Rs. 216,000 was stolen from the rented room of Chabi Lal Chaudhary at Shivanagar Tole in Kalanki on Friday.

Police said that various gold and silver ornaments were stolen from the room.

Police said that they are looking into both cases.
