Two Valley houses looted

Kathmandu, August 7:

A group of five armed persons looted cash Rs 28,000, one tola of gold and two wrist-watches from the house of one Harshadevi Subba at Bhuwaldanda, Bouddha, Kathmandu last night. According to police, the unidentified persons took away cash and valuables after overpowering family members of the house. Investigation is underway, police said.

At Dhumbarahi, property worth Rs 74,000 was stolen from the house of Hari Bahadur KC at Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 yesterday afternoon. Police said that cash

worth Rs 20,000 and other gold jewellery were stolen from the house. There was nobody in the house when the incident occurred, police said.

Meanwhile, police arrested Prem Bahadur Subba and Deepak Tripathi with two swords from Lhotsechowk, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-33 last night. Police said that the duo was arrested when they were walking suspiciously at Lhotsechowk. Subba hails from Jhapa whereas Tripathi hails from Tripathi.
