UCPN-M leadership criticised at CC meeting

KATHMANDU: In the ongoing Central Committee meeting of the UCPN-Maoist, the leaders are putting forth their views on the political report presented by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The leaders including Treasurer Haribol Gajurel, Standing Committee members Agni Prasad Sapkota, Janardan Sharma, politburo members Urmila Aryal, Ram Karki, Dilaram Acharya and Chandra Dev Khanal spoke about the report.

They said party organisation was afflicted with anarchy, the system was deranged, and the leadership eroded.

The party was in need of correction, they said, stressing to address plights of the families of those martyred and injured during the conflict.

The leaders were univocal on unity within the party to fully implement the Constitution promulgated by the Constituent Assembly.

According to them, the leaders representing the party in the government were in need of advocating the rights of people.

Chief Secretary at the party office, Hitraj Pande, said the leaders commenting on Chairman Dahal's political report underscored the implementation of the issues raised by the Chairman.

The central committee would resume at 11:00 am on Saturday.
