UCPN-Maoist issues whip to vote for Bhandari in presidential election
KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist on Tuesday issued a whip to its lawmakers to compulsorily attend the Parliament meeting and cast their vote to the CPN-UML candidate, Bidya Devi Bhandari, in the presidential election.
The Parliamentary Party meeting held in Singha Durbar this afternoon issued the whip to its lawmakers.
During the meeting, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal requested all the party lawmakers and ministers to vote Bhandari during the election.
He further urged the ministers to resolve the problem of supply and blockade at the Nepal-India border at the earliest.
The meeting has also endorsed the name of Hit Raj Pandey also known as Uttam Pandey for Chief whip.
Nepali Congress veteran leader Kul Bahadur Gurung and Bhandari are vying for the post of Head of State.
