UCPN-Maoist stresses on dialogue with disgruntled parties
KATHMANDU: UCPN -Maoist has urged the government to bring the disgruntled Madhes-centric parties into consensus through talks.
The party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Baburam Bhattarai called on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at latter's official residence at Baluwatar on Thursday and urged him to initiate dialogue for consensus based new constitution.
Following the meeting, leader Bhattarai informed that they urged PM Koirala to create an conducive environment for promulgating the new constitution by forging consensus among the four sides through the current process.
He added that they were also playing mediator's role from different sides for the dialogue. This meeting is taken as an important chance as the disgruntled party senior leaders are in the Capital and amendment proposal on the Revised Bill of Nepal's Constitution 2072 BS is scheduled until September 5.
