UK names new ambassador to Nepal

KATHMANDU: United Kingdom has appointed Richard Morris as its new ambassador to Nepal, replacing Andrew Sparkes, who had retired from the British Foreign Service in March.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK on Tuesday said Morris would come to Nepal to take up his assignment in November.

Meanwhile, newly appointed US Ambassador to Nepal Alaina B Teplitz is all set to present her Letter of Credence to President Ram Baran Yadav at Shital Niwas on Wednesday.

She had arrived to assume her assignment in Kathmandu on October 1, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
