UML SC meeting ends
KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the ruling party CPN-UML ended at the party headquarters in Balkhu, Kathmandu on Wednesday, giving the responsibility to its vice chairman Bamdev Gautam for the district committee's row.
According to general secretary Ishwor Pokharel, party leader Keshav Badal, chief of the task force for resolving the row between the district committees of Kathmandu, Mahottari and Dhanusha submitted a report. He added that the SC meeting approved the valley coordination committee's decision to dissolve the Kathmandu district committee led by Rameshwor Phuyal.
It has also formed a committee under the leadership of Bharat Mohan Adhikari, standing committee member to conduct a dialogue among the parties to resolve the present political impasse.
Meanwhile, chairman Jhala Nath Khanal is leaving for Kazakhstan today to participate in the fifth assembly meeting of the Asian Political Parties.
