UML team off to China

KATHMANDU: A CPN-UML delegation led by party General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has left for Beijing, the Chinese Capital, on Thursday.

A press statement issued by UML Office Secretary Krishna Gopal Shrestha informed that the team will be on a four-day official visit to the People's Republic of China upon the invitation of Wang Jiarui, Director of International Department of the Communist Party of China.

The team will hold meetings with top communist leaders of the northern neighbour on Friday and Saturday, Shrestha added.

During the visit, leaders of both parties are expected to exchange their views in interests of both counties.

Pokharel is accompanied by party’s politburo Bishnu Rimal and Pokhrel’s personal secretary, Dipendra Shrestha.

They will return to Nepal on Sunday.
