UML warns of blocking budget at Parliament

KATHMANDU: Coalition partner CPN-UML has urged the Nepali Congress (NC) to revise the budget announced for the next fiscal year 2015/16.

The party also warned that it may not cooperate in endorsing the annual budget from the Parliament if its concerns were not addressed.

The party had held a parliamentary party meeting at the Constituent Assembly (CA) building in New Baneshwor this afternoon to discuss the budget that Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat presented at the Parliament yesterday.

UML Chief Whip Agni Prasad Kharel said after the meeting that UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli commented that the budget was brought unilaterally.
