Kathmandu, March:
The Tibetan Ngingma Meditation Centre, an international Buddhist centre from Califo-rnia in the United States of America, is going to erect a special ‘peace bell’ soon in the garden of Lumbini, where Lord Buddha was born 2500 years ago. Monk Krishnaman, a Tibetan monk related to the meditation centre, told The Himalayan Times that the bell for Lumbini has already arrived Gorakhpur and is waiting for the government documents to enter Nepal. The organisers are trying to have the tax exempted for the bell to enter Nepal and the process is expected to be completed within one or two months. The monk said that the meditation centre has decided to erect similar bells in four major pilgrimage cites — Lumbini, Buddhagaya, Sarnath and Kushinagar. The peace bell in Buddhagaya has already been erected, the monk added.
