Valley witnesses five robberies

Kathmandu, July 5:

Five cases of robbery were reported in the Valley last night and this morning, poli ce said. Five unidentified persons looted cash and valuables worth Rs 600,000 from a goldsmith’s training centre at New Road this morning.

Last night, nine unidentified persons looted property worth Rs 200,000 from the house of Bishwonath Upadhyay at Shesh Narayan-1. Also yesterday, cash worth Rs 51,500 and 12 tolas of gold were stolen from the house of Ramesh Thapa at New Colony. Unidentified persons stole two digital cameras, one computer hard disk and Rs 51,000 from the room of a Japanese at Balaju yesterday.

In Bhaktapur, unidentified persons stole Rs 61,500 in cash and 10 tolas of gold from the house of Yagya Raj Khadka at Balkot last night.
