BHAKTAPUR: A pedestrian died after being hit by a Tata Mobile van near Nikosera Sallaghari of Bhaktapur on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Suman Chaulagain (18) of Kamalbinayak, Bhaktapur.

A permanent resident of Sindhupalchok Chaulagain breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Madhyapur Hospital.

DSP Shekhar Khanal of the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur said that the four-wheeler (Ba 13 Cha 6640) hit Chaulagain this morning.

Police said that they have impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver Bishal Pradhan (24) of Thathali, Nagarkot for investigation.
