Veterinary drug entrepreneurs’ body holds meet

Nepali products share just 10 per cent of the Rs 60 crore industry of veterinary drugs, states the Nepal Veterinary Chemist and Druggist Association. During the association’s fifth annual general meeting, drug entrepreneurs demanded an increase in the production of veterinary drugs to check the outflow of currency while importing the drugs. Around 135 entrepreneurs from across the country participated in the meeting. An 11-member committee was elected under the chairmanship of Sohan Prasad Adhikary. The committee includes Kampos Badal, Yogendra Kumar Gairhe, Navaraj Sharma Timalsina and Leela Nath Gautam as vice-chairman, general secretary, secretary and treasurer respectively.
