Vice-Chairman Pokharel among all NPC members resigns
KATHMANDU: National Planning Commission (NPC) Vice-Chairman Govinda Pokharel and all members of the Commission resigned on Sunday.
They submitted the resignation letter to NPC Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli this morning.
Pokharel had called on the Prime Minister on Monday and informed about his team's resignation.
Besides Pokharel, the Commission had seven members, namely: Govinda Nepal, Yagya Bahadur Karki, Chandra Mani Adhikari, Bhartendu Mishra, Prem Prasad Dangal, Swarnim Wagle and Bimalaya Rai Paudyal.

They were appointed to the Commission on May 8, 2014 by Sushil Koirala-led government.
Pokharel along with Wagle, Mishra and Karki were said to be closed to the Nepali Congress while Nepal, Adhikari, Dangal and Rai were loyal to the CPN-UML.
