Kathmandu, January 3:

Experts today held discussion on the draft paper of the National Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Policy prepared by the government several months ago. At an interaction they demanded overall improvement before finalising and making the policy public.

Presenting a paper, Ram Charitra Sah, a researcher at the NGO Forum for Urban Water and Sanitation, said the draft was influenced by the policy developed for the Melamchi Water Supply Project. He said the Ministry of Population and Environment has to be actively involved while formulating and implementing the policy.
