Buffalo goes wild in Capital, injures around 10

KATHMANDU: About 10 people were injured when a buffalo went wild and ran on the Kathmandu streets on Thursday.

Locals said they had noticed the buffalo from Teku. However, where the animal strayed from is yet to be ascertained.

It has been taken under control by personnel mobilised from the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the Nepal Police.

It is now kept at the Tundikhel. It has been learned that the animal would be released in an appropriate location in consultation with the stakeholders.

The injured have been sent to different hospitals of Kathmandu for necessary medical attention.
