Will fight for Hindu state till last minute, says RPP-N

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal said it would fight to remove secularism from the constitution and restore the Hindu state instead, till the last moment of constitution drafting process.

A central committee meeting of the party held today decided that the party would be active to establish its agendas in the constitution till the last minute, party co-spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said in a statement after the meeting.

The party would hold a meeting of extended central committee before September 17, which would be followed by a "grand demonstration" to pile pressures for the Hindu state, Shrestha added.

The fourth largest party of the constitution writing body has expressed worries over ongoing protests in the Tarai region and Madhesi parties' decision to boycott the statute drafting process.
