Will quit only after Parliament poll within 2 yrs, dreams PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said he would step down only after handing over the government to the new leadership elected from the next Parliament election.

Speaking at a function organised by the All Nepal Peasants' Federation, affiliated to his CPN-UML party, in the Capital today, Oli said the incumbent government would rule till the next general election to be held within two years.

Claiming that the government made significant achievements in terms of protection of national independence, economic development and international relationships so far, he said the government would soon formulate a plan of action to hold the general election within two years.

Other senior leaders of the party were also present at the function.
