KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday said two women are at large after stealing a gold chain from a jewellery shop in Kathmandu.

According to Prabin Kumar Sunar (34), operator of the Sankhamul-based Shree Ganesh Jeweller's, the unidentified women came to the shop and fled with the gold chain under the pretense of trying it.

Both the women have been assumed to be in their 30s.

The stolen gold chain weighed 1.5 tola and four aana.

Police are searching for the women while investigating into the case.
