Working procedure to effectively channelise foreign aid

KATHMANDU: The government is preparing to develop a working procedure to channelise foreign aids in an effective way in the aftermath of natural disasters.

The decision comes against difficulties surfaced after April 25 earthquake in receiving foreign aids and channelising them in an effective way.

Joint secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rameshwor Dangal, said that discussions were being held with experts on making the procedure and that the process would be completed within the set time.

The procedure is a part of the Immediate Reform Action Plan approved by the Council of Ministers on December 10, 2015.

Meanwhile, a preliminary draft would be made, within three months, to draw the structure of human resources of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other sectors under the National Investigation Department and Home Ministry, according to the action plan.

Likewise, the Ministry is preparing for all District Administrative Offices across the country to operate software to distribute computerised citizenship certificates and improve its immigration system to go for online process within the end of this fiscal year.
