Workshop on leadership held
Kathmandu, October 7
A workshop on youth leadership started here today. The workshop was jointly organised by Asia-pacific Peace and Development Service Alliance, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Youth Council.
As many as 93 youths from across the country aging below 30 are participating in the programme. After the workshop, the interested participants will be provided with GPF’s mentorship to prepare proposals on sustainable development goals.
The participants will be sharing their ideas on issues such as quality education, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, among others.
Speaking at the programme, Prof Jibraj Pokharel, Vice-chancellor of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, said, “Our country’s 40 per cent population is youth population, and this dynamic and energetic force must be backed with technology and innovative thoughts.” Prof Pokharel also said that such interactive workshops must be promoted in the country.
The workshop aims at facilitating the youths to develop moral and innovative leadership.
