Research has to be carefully managed to achieve the objectives of health research, a researcher said here today during a training on research management.

“It is time to draw attention of all health researchers for developing a good research management practice for drawing effective research outcomes in appropriate time frame,” said Dr Rajendra Kumar BC of the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC).

The NHRC with support from the Ministry of Health and Population organised a three-day Training of Trainers on research management.

Dr Shacche Kumar Pahari, chairman of NHRC, said training will help produce more skilled researchers who can conduct research work properly. Dr BC of NHRC presented a paper titled ‘Basic Concepts on Research Management: Role of Research Manager and Required Managerial Competencies.
