Yadav accuses Gachhadar of ‘buying’ party leaders
KATHMANDU: Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) chairman Upendra Yadav today hoped the Election Commission would take a decision over the controversy surrounding the party’s authenticity on the basis of existing laws, acts and norms. Organising a press meet at the MJF parliamentary party office here today, Yadav said his faction would oppose the decision of the EC, if it goes against the democratic norms and principles.
Yadav also accused the ministers in the coalition government of engineering a split in the party. “Deputy PM Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar is trying to allure members of the party’s central committee by promising them a large sum,” Yadav said, claiming that RC Yadav, who has been supporting the Gachhadar faction, was not a Nepali citizen. Another leader JP Yadav said Gachhadar had promised him a large sum for supporting his faction.
