YCL begins march

Kathmandu, December 1:

The Young Communist League (YCL), whose controversial activities in the recent days have become a headache for the Maoist leadership, began a long march from today.

Inaugurating the march ‘Youth Republican March Past Campaign from Mechi to Mahakali’, senior Maoist leader Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ said the campaign will take the message of the party — a republican set up and nationalism — to the public across the nation.

According to the Valley coordinator of the YCL Sagar, YCL members will primarily monitor the border besides organising sanitation programmes and political interactions at various parts of the country during the 35-day campaign.
