Yoga classes for Sadarkhor inmates

Kathmandu, April 10:

Some 30 inmates of the Sadarkhor prison at Dillibazaar are taking part in a nine-day mind management and yoga class under Acharya Shree Dhruv of the Universal Spiritual Centre.

The class that began yesterday is being held in the prison library due to space constraint.

A participant Shree Kanta Adhikary, a teacher from Lamjung, said besides using the knowledge gained in the class for personal benefit, he and four other teachers, have decided to pass the techniques their students after their release. Another inmate Asha Gurung of Kaski, who was imprisoned on charge of drug trafficking, mind management and yoga would improve his mind and lead him in the right path.

Acharya Shree Dhuv, who also heads the Indian Institute of Mind Management, said due to the space constraint all people interested could not be accommodated, and hence, he would begin classes for the next group after the completion of the this session.
