KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday reportedly arrested a man for possessing 1.5 kilograms of marijuana in Kathmandu.

The arrested has been identified as Sandeep Thapa, a permanent resident of Imadol, Lalitpur.

During a security check at the Nagdhunga check post on the bus (Ba 4 Kha 2718) en route for Kathmandu, police seized marijuana hidden inside a bag in Thapa's possession.

It has been learnt that Thapa was on his way to Kathmandu from Chandragiri Municipality-2.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
