KATHMANDU: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on met with an accident in Lainchaur of Kathmandu on Monday morning, said police.

The deceased has been identified as Sajan Thakuri (25) of Baglung district currently residing in Boharatar of Kathmandu district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 90 Pa 1400) lost its control and crashed into the kerb in Lainchaur at around 4:30 am this morning.

Critically injured Thapa was rushed to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at 5:15 am, informed police.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
