KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested a person in possession of 300 ampoules of diazepam, a controlled drug, from a passenger bus at the Naagdhunga check point during a regular checking, on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old Laxmi Prasad Yadav of Lipanibirta of Parsa district was held from the bus (Na 6 Kha 6291) that had left Birgunj for the Capital.

He had hidden the contraband inside his bag.

Further investigation is underway, police informed.
